This is a NICE Conn 10DR Symphony series Ross Brass double french horn. The 10DR is a relatively recent addition to the pantheon of Conn French horns. This Geyer wrap instrument of rose brass produces a beautiful warm sound that can still sing out over the entire orchestra when necessary. This instrument is in good condition. The original lacquer is about 95% remaining, with a few lacquer blemishes. There are several cosmetic defects: minor dings in the bell bow (the usual place), and below the last valve; all those do not affect the playing at all. Valves are excellent, and all the slides are tight and move easily. Price $2990 o.n.o. Original 1910 Schmidt Full Double: Original 1910 Schmidt Full Double: piston thumb valve (sits in F) (comes with leather holding strap), lots of patches, detachable bell, exquisite, rich sound, no duff notes (like some other Schmidts), played in professional orchestras in the US, Aus & NZ, valves recently redone - excellent compression, garland around bell (very rare on a Schmidt). Yamaha - 662 semi-professional Bb/F Double French horn. The horn is in excellent condition with 95% lacquer remaining.
This horn has been loved and played by me for the last 15 years with only one previous owner. Ideal for a beginner wanting to improve their sound and intonation.
Recent acid clean and service including polishing and greasing slides, restring and a dent in the bell was removed.
This horn delivers a strong sound with warm tones and the intonation is excellent in all registers.  Comes with Yamaha hard case, 2 mouth pieces and cleaning brush.

Yamaha YHR 662 Fixed Bell Horn Responsive, free blowing,with reliable intonation producing a vibrant, dark, sound.  Kruspe Wrap.  All slides work well.  Valves in good working order (never seized up in the last 10 years).  It has a new Yamaha 664 II Lead Pipe, new Yamaha 2nd Branch and new Yamaha 3rd Branch fitted by Steve Giordano.  Serial number is: 005909.  Comes with Gator Hard Case with shoulder strap.  Yellow brass with most of the lacquer has been removed to prevent pitting as shown in the photo.
